Nancy Jo Schumacher
SPRINGFIELD - Nancy Jo Schumacher, 69, of Springfield, died at her residence at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2012. She was born in Springfield on June 14, 1943, to Lester and Marguerite Friend Stowers. She married Roger A. Schumacher on September 22, 1962.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronald B. Stowers.
She is survived by her husband, Roger of Springfield; daughter, Traci (Jim) Massey of Pleasant Plains; son, Todd (Rose) Schu-macher of Springfield; four grandchildren, Dr. Anna (Keith) Hickey, Emma Jo Schumacher, Pamela Mas-sey and A.J. (Kelly) Massey; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and McKenzie Massey; one sister, Judy (Jack) Harman of Afton, IA; two brothers, Donald (Judi) Stowers of Chatham and Jerre Stowers of Divernon; one sister-in-law, Sandra Stowers of Normal; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandparent and a friend to any person she ever met. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Nancy enjoyed reading and working with ceramics.
Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at Staab Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at Staab Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Busboom officiating. Burial will be in Old Salem Cemetery.
