DANVILLE — Martha Ann Curry, 68, of Danville, died at 12:58 p.m. March 5, 2011, at Danville Care.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at St. James United Methodist Church, 502 Vermilion St., Danville, IL 61832, with Pastor Ken Cox officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. James United Methodist Church or Altrusa International.

Martha was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Springfield, to Virgil Leon and Thelma Delores Pierce. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1961. She attended Loyola University of Chicago, El Camino College of California and received a bachelor degree at Illinois State University of Normal. She took extension courses at the University of Illinois and a correspondence course with UCLA.

Martha had worked at Tee Pak and she had owned and operated Domar & Associates since 1980 doing marketing and advertising. She was a member of the District 118 School Board from 1972- 1976. She had taught at Danville High School. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, Danville Noon Rotary and Danville Altrusa Club. She enjoyed singing and traveling.

Martha married David Lynn Curry on Aug. 8, 1964, in Springfield and from this marriage are two surviving daughters: Lynn (John Gigliotti) Harcarik and Beth Damilano. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Lauren, Nolan and David Harcarik, Trevor Damilano, Cole Damilano, and Talon Schackmann; and a sister, Betty Doris Crawford. She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Victor Leon Pierce.
