Marilyn Workman KANNAPOLIS Marilyn Linkhart Workman, 69, of Kannapolis passed away on Nov. 6, 2012, at the Bob and Carolyn Hospice House. She was born on June 30, 1943, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Francis Otto Linkhart and the late Frances Ruth Linkhart Whitfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Thomas "Butch" Workman, Sept. 24, 2008. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury officiated by the Rev. Jim Brookshire. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church where she was involved in several church activities. She is survived by two daughters, Kelly Cowell and husband, David, of Concord, and Karen Marrone, of West Palm Beach, Fl.; two grandchildren, Jessica Cowell and Dominick Marrone; nephew, Joe Merion, of Austin, Texas; great- niece, Sarah Meiron; great-nephew, Jay Michael Meiron; and many other loving familymembers and friends.
