Warren Robert Goering 1944 - 2017

Springfield, IL—Warren Robert Goering, 73, of Springfield, Illinois, died Monday, September 11, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center's Emergency Room in Springfield.

Warren was born Jan.13, 1944, in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, the son of Carl and Mary Louise Happy Goering.

He married Mary F. White November 6, 1965 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Carl.

Warren was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Warren is survived by his wife, Mary Sue, of Springfield; two daughters, Mary Therese Doran and Christina (husband, Philip) Hermanek, both of Springfield; three grandchildren, Abbigael Doran and Jonathan and Elizabeth Hermanek; one great-granddaughter, Ava Noelle; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Rev. James E. Isaacson, S.J.C. officiating.

The Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County will conduct military honors. Warren's family will hold a memorial Mass and gathering at a later date.
