Lois J. Moore

SPRINGFIELD - Lois J. Moore, 68, died at home in Springfield at 5:34 a.m. on November 2, 2011. She was born in Springfield on May 30, 1943 to Clarence Boston and Edith Banks Thompson.

Lois married Donald F. Moore, Sr. in 1962. She worked for the State of Ill. Dept. of Human Services as a Case Worker and retired in 2005 and was a member of Mt. Zion Apostolic Church. Her parents and her daughter, Marcey Harris preceded her in death.

Surviving to cherish her memory: one son, Donald F. Moore, Jr. (wife, Melanie) of Springfield; two daughters, Kathy L. McNeal (husband, Roosevelt) of Springfield and Joyce D. Jamison (husband, Jarocka) of Paducah, KY; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a host of cousins.

Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church at 2637 S. 10th Street. The Rev. Johnathon B. Franklin officiating and W. W. White Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
