Robert Howe of Springfield passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at his residence.  He married Janet Marie Miller on Dec. 19, 1970.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.  He was employed by the state of Illinois, retiring in 1999.  He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Kelly Eugene (wife, Angela) Howe of Springfield; mother, Dorothy May Howe of Springfield; brother, J. Richard (wife, Kay) Howe of Naples, Fla.; four grandchildren, Taylor, Emma, Andrew and Ally; and three step-grandchildren, Rick, Adam and Emily.
