Richard Paul Lavendoski, passed into the next life on January 2, 2009. Born on February 27, 1942, in Waukegan, IL, Richard Paul Lavendoski was the only child of parents Gerald and Frances. Rick served in Vietnam as a Navy Hospital Corpsman with the Marines among other military assignments. Afterward, he trained as a Respiratory Therapist and worked in several San Diego facilities. He moved to Arizona in 1980. Leaving no children, his interests included exploration, sailing, and marksmanship; he was an avid horseman and reader. For the last 25 years, he loved working with his medical teammates and patients at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, AZ, and was well loved by them in return. Nancy, one of Rick's best friends during the last 10 years, adopted his beloved Dingo, "Biscuit." His cousin Van Vogel and family of Wonder Lake, IL, and many other close friends and relatives here in the West as well as back East will miss him. A Celebration of his Life was held in Prescott.
