SPRINGFIELD - Carol Jean Reid, 68, of Springfield died on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.

Carol was born on December 17, 1943 in Springfield the daughter of William Sherman and Bernice E. Hamilton Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her mother, Bernice E. Thompson; two brothers, Ronald Dean and Ricardo L. Thompson; one sister, Sally J. Ambler; and several nieces and nephews.

Private family services were held.
