Dick Hinckle

A very special man, Richard Dean Hinckle, born on January 20, 1943, passed away at home on September 26, 2017, in Murrieta, CA.

He was raised by amazing parents, Ruby and Dean Hinckle in Springfield, IL. His Father developed his natural born talent for sports.  He excelled at football (All American, quarterback), baseball (played for the(Cincinnati Reds), basketball, bowling, pool and his most favorite, golf. His Mother taught him to be a good man, loving, kind and caring.  He was married to his wife for 36 years because of these wonderful qualities.

Anyone who knew Dick, appreciated his outgoing, fun loving personality.  It was this that made him so successful in real estate and selling security systems to prominent clients.

Unfortunately, the last four years of Dick's life was unlike anything he had ever encountered.  He endured numerous surgeries, recoveries, rehab and more.  Dick took it all in stride, rarely getting upset about his situation and doing his best to comply with all the demands put on him to try to get better.

He lost the battle on September 26.  It was a peaceful passing, at home, poolside, drinking coffee, enjoying a few puffs on his cigar,

The world is a little dimmer without Dick Hinckle but he will never be forgotten.

Dick leaves behind his devoted wife, Connie, his sister-in-law, Anna Bowens, his cousins, Sonny Dalby, Travis Dalby, Troy Dalby, Larry Dalby and many special friends.

Dick was the best athlete in all three sports that I can remember. I competed against him in those three sports during school and there was none better. I had the good fortune to play summer baseball with him on a team that was coached by his Dad, Dean. Dick had a strong will to win and the skills to make it happen. Very sorry that he was taken from us but look forward to his time in " Field of Dreams"
