Lynn M. EGIZII Obituary

SPRINGFIELD, IL - Lynn M. Egizii, 71, of Springfield, died at 11:57 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at St. John's Hospice.

Lynn was born May 2, 1943, in Springfield, the daughter of Donald and Wildith Fryhoff Griffiths. She married Thomas E. Egizii on Dec. 29, 1962, in Springfield.

Lynn was a graduate of Springfield High School in 1961 and attended Lincoln Land Community College. She began her career working for several retail stores and later worked for Mental Health Center of Illinois and St. John's Credit Union. Lynn was involved with E & F Distributing throughout her life with Tom. She was a member of Panther Creek and enjoyed having lunch with her friends, spending time on Lake Springfield, Lake Shelbyville and Lake of the Ozarks boating and fishing, cooking family meals, and attending and supporting her children and grandchildren's events. Lynn also enjoyed spending winters in Naples, Fla.

Lynn will be missed for her larger than life personality and confident presence.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant grandson, Samuel Egizii.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Egizii of Springfield; her children: Todd (wife, Peggy) Egizii of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Christine (husband, Mark) Kolaz of Springfield, and Jeff (wife, Jennifer) Egizii of Springfield; seven grandchildren: Erin (husband, Matt) Sartore of Mesa, Ariz., Emily Egizii of Carbondale, Cassidy, Thomas, and Ryan Kolaz of Springfield, and Liam and Colin Egizii of Springfield; sister, Pam (husband, John) Clark of Upland, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Pirch of Denver, Colo., and Cecilia (husband, Chuck) Kulavic of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center prior to ceremonies.

Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1725 S. Walnut St., Springfield with the Rev. Jeff Grant, celebrant.

Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Tom and Family,

Very sorry to only recently hear about Lynn.

It was good to re-unite with you in recent years both in Florida and at events where you both seemed to be living life to its fullest.
