PENELOPE REED (GLISSON) CONWAY

OSWEGO, IL - Penelope "Penny" Reed (Glisson) Conway, 71, of Oswego and formerly Big Rock, went to Heaven on Friday, June 19, 2015, at Willow Crest Nursing Home in Sandwich Ill.

She was born July 5, 1943, in Springfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Silas Nease and Dorothy Reed Glisson.

Penny graduated from Springfield High School in 1961 and from Millikin nursing school in 1963 and psychiatric nursing school in 1964. She then met and married Leo Mark Conway on June 29, 1968, and they later moved to Big Rock, Ill., in 1973.

Penny is survived by her loving children, Steve (Lori) Conway and Shawn Conway; brothers, Silas (Mary) Glisson and William (Evelyn) Glisson; and grandchildren: Logan, Alexa, Aidan, and Ellie.

Along with her parents, Penny was preceded in death by her younger brother, Gil Nelson Glisson, and beloved husband, Leo Mark Conway, whom she now enjoys being with in Heaven.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at Healy Chapel, 370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove IL 60554. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015, also at the chapel, with burial following at West Big Rock Cemetery.
